Surau Al-Falah: An Islamic Endowment Initiative for Community Prayer
Surau Al-Falah merupakan sebuah inisiatif waqaf yang bertujuan untuk membangun surau baru menggantikan struktur lama Surau Haji Manaf. Located at Jalan Mawar, Batu 7, Kg. Sijangkang, this Surau Al-Falah project represents an important investment in community spiritual facilities. The initiative seeks to provide a modern, comfortable space for prayer and Islamic education activities.
About the Surau Al-Falah Project
The purpose of Surau Al-Falah is to replace the old wooden building with a modern, well-equipped facility. MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM SELANGOR fully endowed this land (waqf), spanning 0.5 acres adjacent to the existing prayer house. Furthermore, the relevant authorities have granted approval for construction of this facility.
This project offers multiple benefits to the community. The new facility will provide a comfortable environment for congregational prayer, Islamic knowledge programs, Quranic classes, and funeral management services. Additionally, it will serve as a hub for various community religious activities.
Islamic Significance of Surau Al-Falah Endowment
As Islamic teachings state, building a mosque or surau with sincere intentions brings immense spiritual rewards. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught: “Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build a similar house for him in Paradise.” (Hadith from Ibnu Majah)
Contributing to this initiative through waqf allows donors to participate in sadaqah jariah (ongoing charity). This means the reward continues even after death, as people continue to benefit from the facility. Importantly, waqf does not diminish personal wealth; rather, it multiplies blessings in ways only Allah knows.
How to Support Surau Al-Falah
We invite the community to contribute to this meaningful initiative through various donation methods. Donors can make cash contributions via bank transfer or direct donation. All contributions to the facility qualify for income tax deductions under Section 44(11C) of the Income Tax Act 1967.

Tujuan pembinaan surau baru ini adalah bagi menggantikan bagunan lama (kayu) Surau Haji Manaf diatas tapak tanah yang telah diwakafkan penuh atas nama: MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM SELANGOR seluas 0.5 ekar bersebelahan surau sediada. Kebenaran membina surau baru juga telah diperolehi dari pihak berkuasa.
la juga bagi memberi keselesaan kepada para jamaah mengadakan pelbagai aktiviti seperti solat fardu berjamaah, program pengajian ilmu, kelas Al-Quran, pengurusan jenazah dan lain-lain.
